Garden Center Worker
Firefield Landsacpe Supply - Strathroy, Ont
We are a retial garden center and landsacpe supply store outside of Strathroy, open to public from April 1st to October 31st.
Job
- full time/part time (seasonal)
- $16.00 per hour
- must be able to work a flexable schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- landscape/horticulture/garden center experience an assets
- plant knowledge an asset
- landscape tractor/equipment an assest
- customer service an asset
- love working outside
Role
- customer service, interacting with people
- watering/weeding
- stocking plant material
- loading landscape materials (soil, mulch, stone with a loader)
- pot/repot plant material
- gernerating and processing sales
Skills
- team player, excited to learn, enthusiasm and excellent work ethic
- adaptable and able to adjust in a fast pace environment
- organized, attention to detail
- landscape, horticulture knowledge
Enviroment
- indoors, outdoors, all weather
- handling heavy loads, up to and around 50 lbs
- repetative tasks, physically demanding
- bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, standing for extended periods of time
