Garden Center Worker

Firefield Landsacpe Supply - Strathroy, Ont

We are a retial garden center and landsacpe supply store outside of Strathroy, open to public from April 1st to October 31st. 

Job

• full time/part time (seasonal)
• $16.00 per hour
• must be able to work a flexable schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• landscape/horticulture/garden center experience an assets
• plant knowledge an asset
• landscape tractor/equipment an assest
• customer service an asset
• love working outside

Role

• customer service, interacting with people
• watering/weeding
• stocking plant material
• loading landscape materials (soil, mulch, stone with a loader)
• pot/repot plant material
• gernerating and processing sales

Skills

• team player, excited to learn, enthusiasm and excellent work ethic
• adaptable and able to adjust in a fast pace environment
• organized, attention to detail
• landscape, horticulture knowledge

Enviroment

• indoors, outdoors, all weather
• handling heavy loads, up to and around 50 lbs
• repetative tasks, physically demanding
• bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, standing for extended periods of time
