Project Manager – Forest Health
One (1) full-time, temporary position of up to 18 months – Hamilton, ON

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager – Capital Projects, Forestry & Horticulture, you’ll prepare, co-ordinate and oversee the technical, administrative, public liaison, regulatory and contractual aspects of forest health management, pest monitoring, operational and maintenance programs. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead role with respect to various programs, and manage a multi-functional workforce in the delivery of services to the public and internal clients.
As Project Manager – Forest Health, you’ll assume responsibility for the program management of forest health, completing various activities both independently and through the direction of operational staff, consultants and contractors. You’ll be accountable for ensuring that Forestry programs and activities are delivered in accordance with Municipal, Provincial and Federal regulations and guidelines, through the effective and efficient use of financial and staff resources, and in alignment with the City of Hamilton’s Strategic Plan. Using a “best practices” approach to program management, with a customer service focus, you’ll ensure that quality programs and services are developed and delivered in a timely, cost-effective manner.

This CUPE Local 1041 Supv full-time, temporary position offers a wage range of $45.210 to $50.233 per hour, based on a 35-hour work week schedule.
