Tree Nursery Assistant
Description: We are looking for someone to assist in growing specimen caliper trees in our tree nursery. The work will include small tree pruning, weed control, IPM, grass mowing, irrigation, staking, planting liners, tagging, inventory, basketing etc.

We are located on a picturesque 55-acre tree nursery in the south west end of the city. We grow and sell large caliper tree from our nursery and offer tree relocation services. Who are we looking for?
- A self-motivated individual who enjoys being outside and doing hard work
- A creative person, who has good communication and problem solving skills and is flexible with the demands of the work
- Someone who can meet the physical demands of working outdoors in varying weather conditions and is able to work long hours
What we need:
- Experience with machinery (farm tractors, skid steers, loaders)
- Post secondary education in horticulture or arboriculture or equivalent experience.
- A minimum G Driver’s License and their own transportation to and from our office yard (Between North Gower and Manotick).
- 7 am till at least 4 pm, Monday to Friday and available some Saturdays during our busy periods in the spring and fall. (average 55 hours per week during spring, 45 hours per week during summer, 50 hours per week during fall)
Job Type: Full-time seasonal
