The Landscape Maintenance Lead Hand for Silverfern Landscaping is someone with a true love of the outdoors and for the growth and care of plant life. This individual has some experience as part of a landscaping crew and the detailed nature of maintaining lawns and gardens. Capable in the proper operation of the tools of the landscaping trade, the Lead Hand demonstrates excellent technique and ensures the lifespan of equipment through proper handling and maintenance. The right candidate for this role is enthusiastic and positive with excellent communication skills. They are friendly and professional with clients and always willing to do what is needed to get the job done well. A natural leader, this individual motivates team members by example and enjoys teaching and mentoring others. Always willing to learn, the Landscape Maintenance Lead Hand seeks opportunities to gain knowledge and experience to enhance personal growth and make valuable contributions to the team.

- The pay for this role ranges between $19-$26 hour depending on relevant experience
What we are looking for:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in the landscaping field
- A strong team player with good leadership skills
- Ability to cultivate a positive work environment and promote an ethic of teamwork and professionalism among the team
- Close attention to detail.
- Some knowledge of annuals, perennials, shrubs
- Experience with lawn cutting, trimming, mulching, edging of plant beds
- Familiar with the proper operation and storage of landscaping equipment
- Some knowledge in tree and plant care and installation
- Valid “G” Driver’s License with clean drivers abstract
- First aid training considered asset
