· An in-depth knowledge of plants and familiarity with planting design
· Minimum of 2 years hands-on gardening/maintenance experience
· Delegate duties to crew in morning and on site
· Creating and keeping job timeline on track and communicating progress to management
· Training crew in skills required
· Logging job activity/ hours and collecting receipts to be passed to management
· Be self-motivated with good time management skills and the desire to put forth and execute new ideas
· Able to handle all aspects of maintenance duties
· A good attitude and ability to follow direction
· An interest in gardening and respect for the environment are key
· The ability to work as a team
· Ensure everyone on site is practicing good health and safety practices
· Good relationship skills for customers and crew members
· Attention to detail
· Driving to client’s properties
· Preforming maintenance work, ie. mow, trim, blow, prune, sweep, clean, dig, mulch, plant, rake.
· Contact clients via email & phone
· Creating and updating client contracts and schedules
· Keep tools and truck clean and in working order
· Operate machinery
· Seasonal tasks such as hanging Christmas lights, Spring & Fall clean ups, maintenance on film sets
· Option of working with construction crew in late fall/winter
· A flexible schedule and be able to work Monday – Friday, plus Saturdays during peak season
· Desire to grow with the company
· A valid drivers' license with clean driver’s abstract is preferred, comfortable driving a cube truck or mini dump truck
· Transportation to our office in south Etobicoke for 7:30 every morning is required
